hello.
My name is Kimberly Kuprijanow. Say what now? Usually when people look at my last name, they brace themselves. Afraid they’ll say it wrong. And they will. And that’s ok! However, I will buy you lunch if you pronounce it correctly!
I'm a polite Jersey Girl with a sacrificial, New York work ethic. I'm very excited (and humbled) to celebrate 25+ years of graphic design and marketing experience. I’ve recently revamped my website, so I’m adding new work I’ve done a little at a time. There’s so much!
It all began in 1998 when I started designing flyers for local bars and clubs. I sucked. I didn't know what I was doing. I was just a year from graduating college and I didn't know what I wanted to do. All I knew was I wanted to work in music. I didn't think my skills would benefit me much. However I took an internship in New York in 1999 that changed everything. I started designing flyers for established venues and popular artists in the city. Over the years I not only designed flyers and posters, but album covers, advertising campaigns, branding, and so much more. I made close friends and got to work with artists I admired. I have worked with event planners, small businesses and major headliners (Bonnarroo, Questlove; The ROOTS/Jimmy Falon, Jean Grae, Mr. Len, Pat Van Dyke, and many more). My mission is to make an outstanding impact; tailoring everything to complement each client’s own objective and character. I'm old, but I keep up with trends and I honestly think SNL's "Papyrus" skit was made with me in mind.
I moved from the NJ/NYC tri-state area in 2012 to Savannah, GA. Between the recession, the music industry taking a tumble, and my mother recovering from Breast Cancer, I needed to leave New Jersey. Not only to help mom, but to help myself get a fresh start. I've spent that time working for publications and design firms in the area, as well as freelancing. Just as I was getting on my feet, in 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer. After 12 rounds of chemotherapy, rocking an ostomy for a year, 5 blood transfusions, and 3 surgeries, I am happy to say I've overcome the disease. Once I was healed, I started to dive back into my work. Being creative is the only thing that makes sense.
Over 25 years later, I'm still asked to help with everything from start-ups and small business ventures to Grammy Award winning musicians. I'm so incredibly honored to be able to contribute what I can to someones dream. I'm always happy to help. If you like what you see, send me a friendly message.
